ChangeWeCan

My name is Diganta Kataki, and I am a recent graduate from University of South Carolina- Moore School of Business. I am from Assam and I came to USA in 2009.
I just read your article in Assam Tribune. It was forwarded to me by Mr. Debojit Bora.
This is really good work put up by few energetic Indians. I am very sure there are thousands more (including me) out there who feel the same way, and would like to help in a similar manner. Ankur, I really enjoyed reading your article- very well written and inspiring. Keep up the good work!  Since I am from Assam, I believe we should connect in some manner, either through email or phone or in Person. That would be a good start to know one another and see how I can put in my efforts to your noble work.
I would also like to thank Assam Tribune for bringing up such topics to our notice. I hope to see more engagements from the International Assamese Community towards the development and spirit of the Assamese youth. Cheers! DIGANTA KATAKI, University of South Carolina , USA

Saikia, was curious about everything I was doing and he made me feel instantly at ease. We sat and talked about everything, the conversation just flowed. I absorbed wi...

The ties that bind

We can have all the money and finest things in the world but, but if we have no loved ones to share, we will likely feel empty and alone. It is especially true for the non-residents Assamese living in distant corner of the globe and it is our connection to our motherland that keeps us alive and invigorated. In this confounding world of fast changing moral values, there are occasional sparks which revive our lost faith in humanity. We are assured that positives developments...

Mehjabin Hussain Pursuit of Excellence authored by Ankur Bora is a compilation of biographical sketches of prominent personalities around the globe who have had either their roots or some kind of connection with Assam and North-East of India. As I read the chapters one after another, what I found most riveting is that each and every individual featured in the book carries his own endearing story of grace, charisma and humanity.   Pursuit of Excellence is a storehouse of information to every eager and aspiring student who has a dream to carve out his own identity in life....
